SPECIAl events.

KANGEIKO TRAINING

An outdoor training session for all judoka and their families. By carrying out training while enduring coldness, it aims not only to improve skills but also to discipline one's mind. An invigorating event that bonds everyone that comes to meet the challenge.

KAGAMI BIRAKI

A Japanese traditional ceremony which literally translates to "Opening the Mirror" (from an abstinence) or, also, "Breaking of the Mochi". This event is held in early January and welcomes the new year. Highlights include a traditional ceremony, rice pounding, judo demonstrations, Japanese cultural demonstrations, and of course Mochi! Open to all judoka and their families, this is a team building event that brings everyone in the dojo closer together.

TOHKON CLASSIC

The dojo hosts an annual tournament that draws participants from all over the country and even abroad. For health and safety reasons, the tournament was postponed until 2021.

TRUNK OR TreAT

A new event at the dojo, families come to the dojo and decorate their trunks. Their is a contest for best decorated trunk, candy is shared, and food is served!
